BE Health is an wide-reaching corporate social responsibility programme for Kempinski hotels that wish to empower people in their local communities to protect themselves against communicable and non-communicable diseases. Areas of focus include encouraging positive changes in behaviour, focusing on early disease detection and providing psychosocial support to patients with life-threatening diseases, as well as their loved ones.
In close collaboration with individual hotels, BE Health creates bespoke health initiatives guided by quality, monitoring and evaluation standards. BE Health is an independent legal entity, ruled under Swiss law and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
1) Working together, BE Health and the hotel team define the initiative's objectives, target group(s) and optimal local healthcare partner.
2) Each hotel collects funds locally (regularly and/or through dedicated events) to support the local healthcare partner and participate in their community-focused activities.
3) If the hotel launches a health prevention initiative, a group of employees are trained to become peer health educators in order to share their knowledge with the target group(s), raise awareness and encourage early detection in their local community.
4) BE Health provides assistance with implementation and ensures that each initiative is monitored and evaluated on an annual basis, including the communication of operational and financial results.
